In air or space steriliztion by ozone, how to figure out what output of ozone is needed?
1.The half-life of ozone in the air is 23 minutes, and the one-hour natural decay rate is 61%
2.The output of the ozone generator is 75% of the maximum amount
3.Ozone has an obvious killing effect on microorganisms in the air. Using ozone at a concentration of 20mg/m3 for 30-60 minutes, the killing rate of natural bacteria can reach more than 90%.
Now, we can suppose that space volume is 1000m3, output of ozone machine X. So, when in space CO3 is 4mg/m3. we can work out the output of ozone machine needed by the formula
X=1000m3 x 4mg/m3 / ((1-61%) x 75%)= 13,675mg/hr so, output of ozone machine, 15g/hr is fitable for this 1000m3 space.
